GENEALOGICAL RESEARCH:
If you know or suspect that part of your family tree extends into
Missisquoi County and surrounding area, there are many aspects which you can
discover about your ancestors. Family origins, settlement patterns and
vital statistics are some examples of source material available to the
researcher in the collection of historical documents in the Archives
Department. Before visiting the MHS Archives it is wise to determine the
approximate location and time period which you wish to focus your research.
It is advisable to have as much information about your immediate family as
you can gather from personal records.
