Missisquoi Maps Project
The Missisquoi Maps Project is dedicated to the exploration of the region's
history via online digital maps.
The Museum is fortunate to own a large collection of
very old maps of the Eastern Townships.
In some cases the paper or canvas is so fragile the maps can no longer be
handled casually.
The Missisquoi Maps Project solves this problem through high-resolution digital scanning and
online distribution of these precious documents. A special viewing technology called "Zoomifier"
makes it possible for you to quickly download the maps and to explore them with simple, intuitive "zoom" and "pan" controls.
